If GBPVR is still recording good .ts streams on that channel I suspect it is an HDHR problem.

Really? I would have thought completely the opposite. I can still use (as of last week) GBPVR to record .ts streams from the HDHR on the same channel and only have these problems with NPVR. The problems started when I first tried out NPVR, back in Nov if I recall correctly. Every time I had problems I would then try to replicate with GBPVR but never could. This lead me to believe it was something with the way NPVR had changed. What makes you think it could be the HDHR?

My comments are really only based on that one sample that you uploaded, whurston's comment that he can record Fox on another tuner and another thread where a user named Torque said he updated HDHR drivers and firmware to solve some skipping issues similar to what you had after the pre-buffer time.

It might be worth testing in one of the problem days and if the show isn't recording stop the recording on NextPVR go into GBPVR and capture a sample at close to the same time and then see if that sample plays in NextPVR.

I will try to do this next time it happens and report back. An interesting thing about this whole issue is that I took Whurlston's advice a while back and updated the HDHR setup so that NPVR is the program application instead of GBPVR. From that point on, I no longer had any problems with FOX shows. All the problems now occur on ABC shows.

I was around to catch this happening tonight. I had NextPVR scheduled to record Happy Endings on ABC from 9:30-10:00. The file created was 79 MB and about a minute and a half before it stopped populating. About 15 minutes in I checked the HDHR config while NextPVR was supposedly still recording. Everything appeared fine with signal and data rate. I immediately cancelled the recording at around the 15 min mark and opened GBPVR and started a quick record from there. It successfully recorded the remaining 15 minutes and I had no issues watching that file in NextPVR. I know this appears to be an extremely obscure problem but is there anything else I can try?
