Great. Sounds like it's confirmed fixed.

Thanks, Sub... this works, to a point.

OK, I'm going to have say that I spoke a bit too soon regarding my comments below. Sorry about that. The following comment of mine was accurate, but not consistently reproducible. Sometimes this happens, sometimes not. Also, once when I exited Live TV on my client, NPVR on the client exited normally, but the server kept recording. I had to restart the recording service on the server to break out of it. So, it seems as if although this works fine some times, other times it's flaky. For what it's worth, the following is the original problem that I reported with the fix that you posted. I will continue testing, and if I can find a consistently reproducible pattern of problems, I'll post more details and/or logs.

-----------------------------
My Live TV on the client starts up properly. However, if I try to change channels on the client by typing in the channel number, I get an "Unhandled Exception", "Attempted to Divide by zero."
*** Exception Text ***
System.DivideByZeroException. Attempted to divide by zero.
at Native.PlaybackNative.Switch.ToStream(String filename)
at NextPVR.Players.PlaybackProxyFactory.Switch.ToStream(String newFile)
..... etc etc.

Clicking Continue just regenerates the same error, and thus I have to use task manager to close my NPVR client to get rid of the error.

---------------------------------------------

BTW, the client is Windows 7 32-bit. Analog TV only.

It doesnt sound like the same issue as this 'tuner is no longer available' problem addressed by the patch.

You'll need to reproduce the problem and zip and attach the the client and server logs.

See if these show anything. I can usually get it to freeze on channel change from the client if I do it enough. I've seen the divide by zero error too on channel change, but not this time. I too need to restart the recording service on my server to get control of the tuner back.

I can confirm the previously reported issue (with the patch, it seems, since the unpatched version on a fast client did not produce this problem). Live TV on the client starts normally, but the FIRST time that I attempt to change the channel (type in the new channel number), the client crashes with my previously described error.

"Unhandled Exception", "Attempted to Divide by zero."
*** Exception Text ***
System.DivideByZeroException. Attempted to divide by zero.
at Native.PlaybackNative.Switch.ToStream(String filename)
at NextPVR.Players.PlaybackProxyFactory.Switch.ToStre am(String newFile)

I installed NPVR 2.4.3 with the patch on another machine (Vista 64, dual core), and the same problem exists. I am attaching the NRecord.log from the server and the NPVR.log from the client.

Thanks.

Mine doesnt seem to do this, however i notice some "live tv" temp files are left behind (still), i have a script running every now-and-again to clear these.
Many Thanks

I've had the following problem running from my client. Guess it's related to the size of the file. HD for example seems to throw the message often. If you just hit continue, the video continues to play.

On my system HD stutters way too much. Regular digital recordings play fairly well. Slow to open and slow to close usually just saying "Please Wait". It is an ATOM 330 with 2 processors and hyperthreaded. Also, the problem may be exacerbated with only having 100mb NIC. There is probably too much network traffic. HDHR Prime, streams to the Server, which in turn streams to the ATOM. Unless I'm wrong, that's a lot of data. I can modify some of the network streams to help. Just my initial observations running CLIENT.

This patch will hopefully get rid of that exception.

I applied that patch, but still had the below problem which you have seen before in this thread. I didn't have any problems when watching a program like I did before, the below message occurred when I changed channels while watching.

thanks, Jake
