Hi Sub,

I have experienced a random problem with ver 2.4.3 where recording do not stop at their scheduled time. The latest one occurred last night. The Daily Show started at 11:00 and should have ended at 11:30 pm. But, the recording continued all night until I stopped it about 8:45 this morning, nearly 9 hours later with a 15 GB file. I believe this problem started after I installed the patch for "occasional video pause after comskip jump".

Here are the logs.

There is no recordings shown in that nrecord.log. Can you post a version of this log that covers the time the problem occurred?

In the logs it looks like it started and stopped at the correct time:
Quote:2012-04-25 23:00:04.610 [DEBUG][7] Started recording (3110:6:E:\Recordings\The Daily Show With Jon Stewart\The Daily Show With Jon Stewart_20120425_23002331.ts)
...
2012-04-25 23:31:00.080 [DEBUG][7] Stopping recording (3110 on 30). Past end time of recording.

I do notice you were also using live tv between these two times, so it might have been a factor.

Can you see if you can reproduce it at will, and give me the exact steps?

OK, I'll try to reproduce it. It only happened 3 times over the past week, so I don't know what the steps might be.

It happened again, same show as last time, The Daily Show from 11:00 to 11:30 pm. This morning, the recording menu showed it as "Ready", but the nPVR status showed it still being recorded at 8:40 am, 10 hours after it was scheduled to stop and the file was over 15 GB.

Before this happened, the system correctly recorded 4 shows from 10 to 11pm and we watched a 5th one. The Daily Show recording started afterward, by itself.

Comcut was set to run Postprocessing, but failed to run on the previous shows. It did run on this show after I stopped recording services. I didn't do anything else, other than watch TV.

I'm attaching the complete set of logs. Hope this helps.

I see the same odd thing happening in those logs, the stream count goes crazy.

2012-04-26 23:00:04.402 [INFO][7] AnalogRecorder stream count now 13

I have the reverse problem on my HDPVR from time-to-time, it goes to -1 and I have to restart the service to use it.

Hi Sub,

The problem occurred again last night. This was a different show, "The Killing", which was the last recording of the day. The Recordings menu showed that it completed on time, but in fact, recording service continued all night until I manually stopped it this morning.

I'm running Win7 with a clean install of nPVR using schedules direct and comskip and weather plugins. There are two 2250 and one 1600 tuners. I suspect that this started when I installed the patch to "fix occaisional video pause after comskip jump". So, for now, I'm going back to the original version of nPVR.exe.

In a previous post, mvallevand noted that the stream count goes crazy. I don't know what this means, but maybe its a clue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,

I think you send the logs from the 27th again.

Martin.

Thank you for catching that. I revised the original post and attached the latest logs which are about 12 hrs old now.
