It does look like it's dropping a ton of packets. Unfortunately I dont know why though.

Okay, found the problem. I did a recording with Task Manager running and for some reason it's using my 10Mbps connection that I use for the caller ID stuff. That is LAN Connection 3.

How can I get it to use LAN Connection 1 which is my 1Gig connection?

Is there different IP address for each of these connections? ie, I see in the log it's asking the HDHomeRun to stream to 192.168.1.16. Is this your slow network connection?

Yes, 192.168.1.16 is the slow connection. 192.168.1.6 is the fast connection. I can't remember why exactly but I had to keep the VOIP stuff on the same subnet. But no other apps have tried to use it so it hasn't been a problem until now.

I can disable it for testing and use a modem for caller ID instead. It's just kind of cool to have the caller ID pop up before the phone rings LOL.

Disabled the slow connection and all is working now. Man, it's always the little things that bite you in the arse.

If there is an easy workaround then I can try it, otherwise I'll adjust on my end.

Thanks for all the help!

It basically uses the first (default) ip addess returned for the host name from DNS.

Out of curiosity, can you post the output of "ipconfig /all"?

For sister product, the Hauppauge DCR-2650, it finds the IP address by presence of a network adapter with "DCR-2650" in the description. As last resort you could probably change the description of your preferred network adapter to include this string, which would force it to be chosen over the default DNS entry for the hostname.

If it uses the first ip address returned from DNS, then if I edit the hosts file with the preferred IP address would that work?

I have attached the "ipconfig /all" output you asked for. You will see an entry for Virtualbox that is installed but I'm not presently using it. However it's network connection is enabled. Could that be a factor?

I dont know. I ask Windows for the hostname, then ask for the ip addresses for that hostname, then use the first one returned.

No, I dont think this will be factor. I've got various virtual network adapters for vmware that dont cause any issues.

I can see the issue, as I run "nslookup btvserver" and it returns the slow speed IP. I'll try to find out how to fix this, but in the meantime I'll just disable that connection.

Thanks again!

Great - glad you got it work. Also glad you're able to confirm it with nslookup, which lets me off the hook.
