Did you stop the NPVR recording service when you installed the update? Try stopping and restarting the service, and verify it starts properly. It looks like NPVR can't talk to the recording service.

i reinstalled the driver. that one was the one I installed already. Still getting the available tuner could not be found

If I add the channels in I cant start the recording service. I get the following error

That's the crash on your device again. What happens when you reboot and try mapping first?

Easy explanation/fix:

Replace your analogdevices.xml file with the one attached to this post (reboot for good measure).


Long explanation:

NextPVR is failing to find your hardware encoder for that card and dropping back to software encoding. Software encoding is then failing because you don't have the Hauppauge SoftPVR components installed. The reason it's failing to find the hardware encoder is because you are probably missing the following entry in your AnalogDevices.xml:

This may or may not fix the SocketException but we would need to fix this issue first before tackling that one if it doesn't.

my analogdevices was already setup the same. When I go to configure the ati tuner it asks if I want to copy the config from my pvr150. I tell it to do it. When I try to use the tuner it fails. I have tried to manually setup that tuner also but with the same results

I also made sure I installed the softpvr again. Even though I think it was working anyway since I have my pvr150 working fine
