How can I record more than one TV broadcast at the same time? I use the TV Card Hauppauge HVR-930C.

Depends on what signal you are receiving, if it is analog you need one tuner for each simultanous recording. If it is digital you can record multiple shows provided they are transmitted on the same physical frequency.

Thank you, Reddwarf,
It is both analog cable and digital as it looks like. In the channel list is shown: DVB-C Channels, Digital Channels, Analog Channels. So it may mean, I could record one analog channel and some further digital channels or digital channels only at the same time?

If you have only one hybrid tuner (capable of both analog and digital) you can record (or watch) only one analog channel, but if the digital channels are on the same frequency you can record as many as your computer can "swallow". Are the digital channels encrypted?

Quote:Are the digital channels encrypted?Yes, the free ones can all be watched without paying / encrypting. Okay, so at least it is possible to record more than one digital channel at the same time as long as I do not watch / record an analog channel. Well, not that comfortable...

Many thanks for the links,
I assume, the freightage, risk, payment would be a drawback a bit. I have a DVB-T Card, but I only can receive special programs, the quality is not the best one.

If you are not in a hurry (up to 20 days) they deliver free of charge, or you can pay for a fast delivery. "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy"

That sounds good, I assume, you have do pay when you order. Free of charge, I wouldn't have thought it is possible, may be I will have a try.

Well, not that comfortable...This is a limitation of the device, not NextPVR. The device can either do analog or digital, but not both at the same time. When it's doing digital, it can record all channels on the current frequency (which might be up to 8 or so channels simultaneously) |
