I just installed that last version of imageGrabLite that you posted above, and when I ran it to rename a recording it changed the recorded date to the original air date even though I did not specify "--first" (I'm not interested in that feature, I just installed this version so as to be sure I had the latest).

Oops sorry about that, I had enabled that as the default by mistake. This should be better. To put it back to normal after this run

imageGrabLite --oid 180992 --reset --first --zap2it
imageGrabLite --oid 180992 --rename --zap2it

also I've got a couple of shows were it grabs the wrong artwork: Touch (the new show with Kiefer Sutherland) and Heartland (it's got something to do with horses). For Touch it pulls down artwork for something that looks like japanese anime (but it does say "Touch"), and for Heartland it pulls down artwork for a medical show of the same name that aired briefly 5 years ago (both Heartlands started in the same year, which I'm sure complicates things).

For the Touch the current definitely knows the episode

But you may have originally captured it using a old version that wasn't as aware of unique id's as the current.

For these older shows deleting the artwork isn't good enough you need to delete the seriesname.xml from both

C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Media\Shows and
C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Plugins/SearchLite/Series

Heartland is a different beast the real name for renaming should be "Heartland (2007) (Canada)" which is a bit confusing, I would probable forcing the name using the ini file, and I will offer something more after I test it.

ok, I didn't think to delete anything beyond what was in NPVR\Media\Shows. will clear Plugins\Searchlite\Series as well. Thanks.

I think the Searchlite.xml setting for Heartland would be

<CustomNames>
<Name uid="00959462">Being Human (2007) (Canada)</Name>
</CustomNames>

The uid skips the first two letters which can be EP or SH and truncates the last four which is the incremental episode number

I am not sure if that would get you new art or not.

Note that I do have special processing for US and UK shows, but I don't handle my native Canada shows as well.

If you don't like the art I do offer an alternative "guess" in the imageGrab logs showing like http://images.zap2it.com/images/tv-EP009...land-0.jpg if you want to grab it yourself. It is only a guess because there is no API that is why just log it. Normally there is a -0 and up to 20 or more choices for Heartland there isn't even a -0 so you just use http://images.zap2it.com/images/tv-EP009...rtland.jpg

After I posted I edited and put in a different set of logs. The first bunch may not have been good examples, because I could not confirm whether the recordings in question had indeed be re-dated as they'd already been deleted. I still have all of the recordings for those logs, and am sure they really were re-dated.
