"Recordng service not running at recording time"

So, it seems I am getting this error. I am running NPVR 2.5.5 completely bone stock with a HD homerun for OTA broadcasts. It is running on Windows with the firewall off (on its own network). I tested with manual recordings at they work fine but tonight was the first night it was supposed to go on its own. I was bummed to return to find it didn't record with this error message.

I've searched the forums and haven't really found a definitive answer as to why this happening or how it is to be fixed. Things I've seen include needing to reboot the computer or changing something in the config file. I did check for a TS file as I read sometimes it throws this error but actually does record, sadly this is not the case for me.

Any help?

You'd probably need to post the logs so we can check if it was really not running, or what was the last thing to happen in the logs prior to it stopping.

Thanks sub, I've located the log folder. Which file would contain relevant information:

ndigitalhost-XX.log
npvr.log
nrecord.log
web.log

I've looked throug hall of these logs, and oddly enough I don't really see anything helpful. I'm assuming that the logs are stored in local time? The recording in question should have started at 7 PM (19:00 hours) but failed to do so.

This is the only thing I can see:

zip the whole log folder and upload
Sub will have a read through and see if anything stands out
also helpful if you say what the program you tried to record was and at what time
