Live tv switches to guide on its own.

Have a new strange problem. When I pick a show to watch from the guide, the show comes up for about one second, then it flips to the guide with the show still playing (you can hear the audio). It says "please wait"... You can even pause the show, but you never see it, only the guide. You hit the exit button, the show stops and you are able to look at the guide again. I can watch pre-recorded shows no problem. If you select live tv from the main menu, you only see the main menu and the "please wait" which also never goes away until you exit.

After reading your other thread...... I assume you have done a PC reboot after that problem & before this one??

Yeah, I rebooted a number of times.

Here are the log files. I tried it again at 10:16pm tonight, it still goes to the guide.

In that log it looked like you started live tv around 2012-09-18 22:16:24, then your proceeded to continually press volume down key on your MCE remote (or media keyboard) for about 5 seconds, followed by continually press the volume up for a couple of seconds, followed by the back/escape key on your MCE remote.

Yes, that sounds about right. I turned up the volume to see if the show was still playing in the background (as I could only see the guide on the screen). Then I pushed the back button on the remote to go back to the main menu.

Ah, sorry - I misread your description above (damn skim reading let me down again). I though it was just stopping live tv quickly, but in the logs it looked like you were pressing back/escape which was causing it to stop.

Can you post another log without all the keypresses? ie, just start the app, start live tv, then post the npvr.log and a description of what you saw happen.

Ha, no sweat. I will do this tonight when I get home. How long should I let it sit until I back out? It will stay at the guide indefinitely until I push escape.

Give it 20 seconds or so.

Have you tried other video decoders, or a different video renderer? These may have an impact.
