I seem to be having a similar problem to cncb. I'm using openelec Fusion 1.99.1. , and X-NEWA 1.2.3

X-NEWA is connecting to the server, but the only data showing is the amount of free disk space and the numbers of recordings.

...... I also have X-NEWA installed on a Windows PC, and that's working fine.

It's working here. Do you have the country and timezone set correctly on your openelec box?

Oops... working nicely now. Not sure why the date and time are configured through settings -> appearance.

Great I will make a note on the sticky link. The time issue is a NEWA requirement but when you think about it if the time is wrong, it could really mess up you guide, and rules deleting expired recordings etc. As for the location of the setting, I guess the XBMC team see this as cosmetic.

Running XBMC Eden on Ubuntu 10.04.

Still hadn't time to check it extensively, but here's a quick feedback:

- Can't seem to play ongoing recordings (press play, and after a few seconds kicks me back to recordings screen). Not possible at the moment? Saw your note in the sticky, but guessed it was only about resume support? Am I wrong?
I'll have to double-check, but I think I had that issue (press play and get kicked back to recordings' overall screen) with other (finished) recordings.

- The channel icons on (at least) two of my channels, when showing the recording info, got mixed up ("SIC" and "SIC Mulher" - naming issue?).

I'll have to check the debug mode, and get you logs if needed.

It should work. If you are running from a remote machine that thinks the file is on the C Drive, then you might need advancedsettings.xml depending on the error the OS is showing. The logs would tell me.

Perhaps, I just use what NEWA provides.

I'll have to check the debug mode, and get you logs if needed.

For the channel icon the db3 file with a note explaining what recording is playing wrong would be best.

I was surprised to find that live tv from xbmc's main menu does not have a pause function, so I started live tv from X-NEWA (Nyhetskanalen about 11:29) and paused it for some 10-12 minutes. When I returned and unpaused it played for half a minute or so and then I was thrown back to the epg.

The log said something about renewal of lease failed, I noticed, so it may well be a socket timeout for all I know.

I checked with sub and the streaming http interface doesn't support pause so if you do pause for more than 10-20 seconds connections at the backend will break and you will only be able to play what is in the xbmc buffer.

I get them in live TV, both through X-NEWA and through the XBMC PVR. Pressing T toggles them on and off.

Next time you are playing a video, go into the Audio OSD in XBMC, disable subtitles and also tick the "Set as default for all movies" option.

No it just says that no subtitle is available. If I start the teletext browser (that is for text-tv) I can read the pages (not very readable actually, but it is there) but teletext subtitles are on other magazine pages (692, 886 etc). Reddwarf, have you been able to get teletext subs to work? I have several recordings with multiple teletext "streams" (199 SWE; 299 NOR; 599 DEN; 699 FIN) working fine in NPVR (ctrl-x) but none is displayed in XBMC.
