NPVR > XBMC in Apple iOS

Hi

I am glad i found this before i dropped a load of money on Atom / Windows clients.

I notice this plugin seems to only be on XBMC Windows / Linux platform, where do i message to try and see if this plugin will work on the Apple iOS platform as well.

With Apple TV v2 / 3 able to run XBMC this is a perfect hardware for this client (and Apple TV being US $99 new, super cheap as well). Way better than all hardware designs i came up with due to its cost.

There is no reason it shouldn't work on the Apple TV build of XBMC, I just dont know if anyone has tested it yet.

Ive not looked at it yet, i do have an install of XBMC (v11 which i know isnt the latest) on Windows.

Isnt the NPVR plugin uni coded meaning i can load it into XBMC loaded on any version or do i need special plugin coded for different OS that XBMC is loaded on?

You'd need a version of XBMC compiled for the Apple TV. The NextPVR addon is included with new releases of XBMC, and those version will have the addon compiled for Apple TV, by whoever built that XBMC version.

I have the latest release (from xbmc.org) for Windows (v11) and i cant find the NPVR addin? is that in a beta release (nightly builds?)?

I dont know if the Apple TV builds are slightly behind the Windows/Linux builds. The NextPVR addon has been part of the main XMBC code for a couple of weeks. The Windows and Linux nightly builds certainly include it.

Managed to get something working (sort of), at present the nightly builds on xbmc.org will do it, however the addin still needs to be installed manually then configured then activated, once this is done then xbmc will see it. i am still trying to find how to manage recordings.

How much will xbmc control NPVR, it seems to be able to watch TV (not tested this), how do i see and manage the recordings and scheduled recordings area? It appears to be under the LIVE TV, hi can see the past recordings, i cant see if i watched it before (like this in NPVR).

How do i see whats scheduled and how its scheduled (whole series etc...), looks nice though from what i can see.

From what i have seen dont need to "jail break" the box, however not that ive ever done it, you can download and install the software through SSH to the box (seen a video on how to do it on the Apple TV 2 / 3 with both iOS installs.
