Removing the extra memory won't change anything, unless you could actually get the physical memory down to less than 4GB. Try changing the memory size to 3072MB. It should work with it set to 4095, it has for others, but something obviously isn't working for you.

Also, maybe try setting the PVR-150 entry in AnalogDevices.xml to SOFT_ENCODE. That's not ideal, but it would at least prove everything else is working if you don't use the hardware encoder at all (and of course your i5 has plenty of muscle to do the encoding).

Yes, i do have them installed...after getting tired of not being able to solve it, i decide to try on another system that i had laying around, its an intel atom mini htpc that i have with no use, i made a fresh install of windows 7, but this time 32bit home premium version, and then install NPVR, and still there is the same issue.
on both cases the encoders were installed, in fact, remember that it tunes and plays live tv the first time, other proof, is that without the encoders, NPVR will not recognize the tuner as a device and will not appear on the device section...
something is making that after the first use, the card dissappears from the system or something...
