The question for sub is primarily why Duration seems to be always be determined as 2 in LiveTV. There isn't a need to move the thread.

I don't know how SageDCT etc work. Do they end up writing their .ts file with the supplied "NPVR Writer" filter?

No, as I wrote in the other thread, SageDCT just writes the TS file as is and there is no Timing.Info file.

If you play one of those buffer files in NextPVR, does it show a real duration? ie, playing back a regular file rather than live tv.

I have the files I asked the users to upload and yes they all seem to have a correct timeline

How are you currently creating the rolling file segments?
When it comes to live tv, you really need to be using either the NPVR Writer (or NPVR TS Mon) to ensure it's creating the segments the correct way.
