nextpvr and qam tuners?

I'm currently trying to get nextpvr setup as my backend in xbmc, the issues I'm having are:

1. with my Hauppauge 1600 qam tuner I was able to scan for qam channels but when trying to play the channel I just get a black screen.

2. MCE ir reciever/transmitter config to talk with set top box.

Any ideas, help/ assistance.

If you're getting a black screen, it probably relates to the MPEG2 video decoder you have selected. Try other MPEG2 decoder options on the Settings->Decoders screen.

Unfortunately someone else would need to help you with this. Basically you need to have a command line blaster (like those supplied with HIP or IRSS etc), and set this blaster in the analog channel setup when you import your channels.
