xmltvextra setup help

I have been trying and trying to figure out how to setup and configure using xmltvextra. I use schedules direct if that helps. Sorry I cant be more descriptive but the directions seem a bit ambiguous.

This utility is used to update the TV Listings database with additional information for programmes from the xmltv-file that is also used as EPG-source in NPVR. The plugin TVListings then uses this extra information in the tv guide.
Requirements

NPVR and the TVListings Plugin.

The XMLTVEXTRAS utility is used WITH the TVListings plugin(not to be confused with "TV Guide"- NPVR's native guide).
In "Settings" left click "Plugins"
You must have TVListings "checked" in "Settings/Plugins" and you configure it there by clicking on "TV Listings" in the "Plugins" section.
