mc2xml problems

I am trying to configure a new computer to use NextPVR with mc2xml. I think I am doing everything right. following the documation but I wind up with an empty program guide in NextPVR. Looking at the XML file, it looks like all the program descriptions are downloaded and in the file. In the NPVR program guide, all the channel numbers are imported put none of the descriptions.

Any help would be appreciated.

Stop and the start NPVR. In Settings, do Empty EPG and then Update EPG. Stop NPVR and then post the logs. Thanks.

Excuse me for what might be a stupid question but where are the logs you refer to? I did a search for NPVR.log an found nothing. I'm running XP x64.

The link in my earlier posts is to a page that says ...

The location of the data directory depends on the version of Windows you are running:

Windows Vista, 7, Server 2008: C:\Users\Public\NPVR
Windows XP, Server 2003: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\NPVR

and

NextPVR records everything it does to .log files, these can be found in the NextPVR data directory in the subfolder Logs. It can be useful to zip and attach a recent set of these logs when requesting support in the forums.

It will help us if you start and stop NPVR before you do the Update EPG ... this should ensure that the log does not contain a lot of irrelevant stuff. Thanks.

I have a new mc2xml problem to report: At 2:03 AM, AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 2013 "Identity Protection" apparently concluded that the update process was a "Medium" threat, and moved both mc2xml.exe and my UpdateEPG file (based on code given by whurlston in post #5 of the thread given above) to virus vault. I presume that this is a false positive related to a 12/31/12 AVG update, since this didn't happen on other nights when the EPG was updated. NPVR is still functional, and in fact I still have guide listings until January 13. I intend to restore the files; but first I'll check the AVG forum, then check back here.

If you go to the Settings->Channels screen, in the channels list does the EPG column show 'XMLTV'?
