I can't get GB-PVR to work in Windowed Mode. Yes, I have the box ticked in configuration. I even uninstalled and reinstalled to see if that would work. I have searched the forums and could not find an answer. I am extremely novice at all this, so if anyone is kind enough to help me, I hope that you can explain it to me in simple and detailed terms. Thanks very much for any help you are able to provide me. Jack

All you should have to do is tick the run in window mode. If its just no doing it, you try running the following once:

C:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\GBPVR.exe -pos:100,100,600,400

BTW, you gave this post a crap title, so I renamed it.

Thanks for the info. I had already ticked the windowed mode box. I wasn't quite sure how to use the command you provided. I entered it in 'run' in the start menu, but nothing happened. I'm sure I just don't know what I am doing!! Thanks for changing the title - I don't remember what I originally had. Anyway, I still can't get the windowed mode - any further advice? Much appreciated.

Motorola HD Cable box channel changed via Firewire
Vista Home Premium with RDP hack
AMD Athalon 64 5000+
340gig sata, plus 80SATA+3x160IDE Drives in XP machine for storage.

Hey, thanks for the quick reply. Yes, I did try the <Alt> <Enter> and still no window mode. It worked when I first installed GBPVR. I added My Pictures, Video Libraray, and Music Library. Don't know what I did to stop window mode from functioning. Have tried a reinstall, checked 'show in windowed mode box', and searched forums. I am certain it is because I don't understand how to do some of the commands I read in the forums or I did something dumb. Feeling pretty stupid about it all! Even though I can't get the windowed mode, it it great to know you guys are willing to respond. I added the info below - maybe that will help. PS: this is my first time using a forum, so I apologize if I am too wordy, or don't give enough info, or don't quite get the advice given - I will get better at all this!

In the run option in the start menu type the following (including the quotes):

"C:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\GBPVR.exe" -pos:100,100,600,400

You must have the "run in window mode" option enabled for this to work.

Hey, thanks very much. That did the trick. I appreciate you taking the time to fix this for me. Jack
By the way, it went back to the full screen after I used the Hauppauge remote and wouldn't go back to the windowed mode. It must be one of the remote's buttons causing this - I think it may be the 'tv' button that stops the windowed mode from working. Anyway, I will re-enter the command you provided and I am sure I will be back in business. Thanks for your patience!

I found out what the problem is with my fullscreen/windowed mode. If I keep the configuration in "show in windowed mode", then the screen will be in windowed mode. If I untick the windowed mode box, then the screen goes full screen, as it should, and it won't go back to windowed mode when I re-tick the windowed mode box. I then have to re-enter the "C:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\GBPVR.exe" -pos:100,100,600,400 for it to work again in windowed mode. Is there a problem that I am not aware of here? Should I be able to go back and forth between fullscreen and windowed mode without having to re-enter the "C:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\GBPVR.exe" -pos:100,100,600,400 each time I change back to windowed mode? Once again, thanks for your patience in this matter.
