I am using DVBGuide to create an XML file for UK Freesat.

For "ITV1 HD", NextPVR is showing the "ITV1 Granada" set of programs. In particular at 18:00 it is showing "Granada Reports" at 18:00 not "London Tonight" as per the xml file.

A screen dump plus the xml is attached.

I have checked the settings and am sure that the "ITV1 HD" channel is set to look for "ITV1 HD" as it should be. I have also cleared the EPG and re-read it in again.

I originally had both "ITV1 HD" channels as the same number, I did wonder if that was confusing it, but changing the number does not make any difference so its not that (any in any case same channel numbers should not be a problem.

Setup is as follows:
NextPVR 2.5.9 including R1 patches.
No NextPVR plug-ins installed.
DVBGuide 0.95Beta (0.96 does not work as the xml version no at the top is rejected by NextPVR).
BlackGold BGT3595 (DVB-T tuners not used, only the two DVB-S ones).
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

Any ideas/suggestions gratefully received. I have only been using it for a couple of days, having got so fed up with Windows Media Centre that I have completely abandoned it. So far I am pretty impressed by NextPVR, at least one has a hope of it being reliable.

Further to this I have checked the .db3 and it is incorrect in the EPG_EVENT table for my channel 119.

The CHANNEL table contains the following in the mapping field:

for channel oid 7638 which is channel number 119
<epg>
XMLTV
<file>C:\Program Files (x86)\dvbguide095beta\freesat_epg.xml</file>
<mapping_id>2.7f4.2f62</mapping_id>
<mapping_name>ITV1 HD</mapping_name>
</epg>

and for channel oid 7668 which is channel number 120
<epg>
XMLTV
<file>C:\Program Files (x86)\dvbguide095beta\freesat_epg.xml</file>
<mapping_id>2.7f4.2f62</mapping_id>
<mapping_name>ITV1 HD</mapping_name>
</epg>

Now the EPG xml file contains two entries for a channel named "ITV1 HD"

<display-name>ITV1 HD</display-name>

further down it has "London" as the news program at 18:00.

and

<display-name>ITV1 HD</display-name>

this one does have "ITV Granada" as the news program at 18:00

So the problem seems to be with the setting of the mapping in the "details" dialog box, in particular when editing channel settings when multiple channels have the same name (which freesat does rather a lot), regardless of the one you select in the list of mappings (for example there are two "ITV1 HD"'s in the list) it actually always uses just one of the id's (the latest in the xml file). It would be rather nice if the drop down box gave the id's as well as the names where there are duplicate names.

Also in this case clearly the automatic mapping of xml by name cannot work, unless it took into account other factors, but would be nice if it gave a warning that there are duplicates with the same name and hence thos mappings may be incorrect.

Manually changing the mapping in the CHANNEL table in db3 for channel 119 and re-reading in the EPG xml file makes it show the correct programs.
