TV Guide displaying "no show detail"

Hey guys, just started getting in to NextPVR after using WMC for a while with my HDHR Prime. I'm having trouble getting EPG data to display, however.

I've scanned for and found a my relevant channels and I'm able to view content. I'm using mc2xml to pull EPG data down from Microsoft Legacy and write the EPG data to a file called tvguide.xml. That portion seems to work, and I can see in my npvr.log file that UpdateEPG.bat is called when I press the button to update. I can also see that NPVR attempts to load tvguide.xml. After that, my understanding of the logs starts to fall apart and I'm hoping you guys might be able to help me out.

I've searched the boards long and hard to find an answer to this one but no matter what I try, my TV guide continues to say that there is "no show detail" available for all time slots on all channels. Zip containing NPVR.log, UpdateEPG.bat, and tvguide.xml is attached, let me know if you need anything else.

Anything you have is appreciated!

That TVGUIDE.xml doesn't have listings past 12/17/2012. Is mc2xml.exe located in C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Scripts\ ?

@whurlston: Hello again. This thread is already sounding familiar. In your post #5 of the following thread that was once so helpful to me, you noted that The_Keymaker's guide listings ended 12/17/2012. Did you mean to ask k2rand if UpdateEPG.bat was in the Scripts folder?

@k2rand: I had the same problem before Xmas, and I believe that the UpdateEPG.bat code given on Wiki User Manual's mc2xml page should be replaced. In addition to the thread given below, there was another thread called "mc2xml problems" along the same lines not long ago.

You may be affected by Microsofts screwup with EPG data that has been troubling users in UK(resolved) and Canada.
MC2XML gets data from Zap2It through Microsoft.com.
You can use ZAP2XML to get data scraped directly from ZAP2It:
http://zap2xml.awardspace.info/

I was thinking the same but NextPVR is finding his UpdateEPG.bat and running it. His UpdateEPG.bat shows him running mc2xml from the scripts folder so I wanted to make sure that's where it was located and not in Program Files.

Not... he's practically a neighbor of mine and mc2xml is working fine here

fwiw:
1. My EPG folder is in c\users\public\npvr\EPG
2. My UpdateEpg.bat file is in the c\users\public\npvr\scripts, and is

C:

mc2xml

My money is on syntax. Why would firewall admit outdated listings from mid-December? OTAjunkie has me wondering if something changed at Microsoft.com effective 12/17/2012, rendering UpdateEPG.bat syntax suggested in the Wiki useless. I notice that ga_mueller's code differs from the Wiki, and also from mine (which is based on a whurlston post, and works). I STRONGLY SUGGEST that the Wiki's mc2xml page should be reviewed and revised! Poor newbies like me shouldn't have to learn to write code in order to get TV guide listings. Anyway, k2rand might have solved his problem by now.

Hey guys, thanks for all of the responses. Turned out to be syntax.

Zeb pointed me in the right direction when sending me to http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...-xml-file&. Post number 5 in this thread held the correct syntax to get things working.

Many thanks to everyone--now if only I could get Comcast to properly activate the CableCARD...
