No, I was just frustrated/tired. Everyone has said it was an easy setup and I'm sure it is something dumb I'm doing, but I'm only seeing for the first time. By the time I got the forum I was toast.

Now to create the log you are looking for, do I need to erase the current logs for both xbmc (client) and nextpvr (server), and then restart them both without accessing the live tv? Also, do I need to shut down the pvr service first? I don't understand how the logs are created/the setup to get you the correct information.

Considering you got the tuners, EPG nextpvr and xbmc setup I consider you did a great job fo a first time setup and in the PVR world that is easy. Finding out why a client cannot connect is complicated since two machines are involved.

I would close off xbmc on the host and client, stop/restart the npvr recording service, restart xbmc on the client try and connect to nextpvr. When it fails stop the recording service zip the entire nextpvr log directory and upload it. Martin

I am not sure what time it is there (it is 12:12 here) you may not have give the web server enough time to start up
2013-01-30 22:46:20.923 [INFO][4] Starting web server on: 8866 ... 2013-01-30 22:47:37.771 [DEBUG][4] OnStop() In that short time there certainly were no attempts to connect from your XBMC client. Did you confirm that you don't have any firewall blocking access to the webserver? Can you use a browser on your client to access the NEWA web page http://192.168.1.139:8866 Martin

MotherF...the firewall was blocking NRECORD.EXE. I had to add a manual rule. Thanks again for the help. Awesome, that I had wasted so much time, to find out I missed a firewall. Thanks for your patience.

It really can only be firewall or other permissions when the client can't connect to a setup that is otherwise well done, that's why it's usually the first question asked. Glad you worked it out and sorry again for being a bit frustrated earlier.
