channels found but no picture or sound when trying to play live tv

hi everyone

i have an hdhomerun and i cant get it to play the tv channels. all i get is a black screen with no sound. ive gone through the forums and tried everything i could. good news is when i did the channel scan, npvr found 67 channels. so i know its communicating with my tuner. i have firewall turned off. i have tried all of the codecs (i think) and i downloaded saf6. i can get channels to play on WMC and i even setup argus tv and that works too. but i dont know why i cant get npvr to play any of the 67 channel!

any help would be super appreciated! i attached my logs.

Did you configure ffdshow to display mpeg2 video? It is disabled by default. I set mine to libavcodec

It still doesn't look like data is being delivered though which normally is firewall.

You may find that the LAV video and audio decoders require the least fiddling to get a result.

Can you record a show? Does it play? Is the .ts file in the Recording folder more than zero bytes in size?

Does it make a difference if you set Audio Renderer to Default?

thanks guys. so i recorded a show. and the file size was 300mb for the 10 mins i recorded. and if i open the recording, it plays! it opens the file in MPC-HC and both video and sound play but its choppy and slow motion. if i play in WMP, it plays perfectly. so there is data coming (not a firewall issue). and everything is set up right. i just cant get live tv to play. still black screen. i downloaded the unlocked saf6 and tried all the different codecs but that did not work... any other suggestions? i posted my updated logs

Try setting your audio renderer back to default.

Did you enable MPEG-2 video in the ffdshow decoders?

Also if sub's suggestion doesn't work..... what spec's are your PC & Video card??

so i went in and enabled MPEG-2 video in the ffdshow decoders. now when I play the recording within NPVR, its plays super smoothly. However - i still get no video in the live feed. I also switched the audio back to default and still no live tv...

Im on an HP server. AMD turion II neo N40L 1.5ghz. 6gb ram. Video card is a ATI Radeon HD 5400 Series. It plays live tv super smoothly through HD Homerun quick tv.

i dont get why i can record the show and when i go to recordings under the main menu it will play the recording perfectly fine. but I cant get the live tv to show anything.

Try a different MPEG2 decoder then.

ok so i decided to go into XBMC and install the NPVR front end. And it Freaking PLAYS! really weird that it plays live channels in XBMC but i cant get it to play directly in the NPVR application.
