Live TV is hanging after new install

Hi, Just started using NextPVR. Using a MyGica X5075 card. Running Win 7 64 bit with I3 and 8Gb RAM.
I was able to get the channels list to update but am having a few problems.
When i go to Live TV the app just hangs and shows ...please wait...
I also had a problem when I clicked on the Update EPG where it froze my entire computer.
Anyone have any ideas on this?

ok. So I posted too soon. I figure out the problem. THe driver software that came with the MyGica card was running in the background. When i stopped that service the freeze ups stopped.
But now I get a black screen when viewing live TV.

Assuming you managed to successfully scan for your channels, then it's most likely the decoder on the Settings->Decoders page.

With Windows 7, 'Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder' should work just fine for MPEG2 video decoder. Aside from that, you are at the same point as as the similar thread "Setup Questions from a Newby."

I tried changing the decoder for MPEG2 to 'Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder' and I still don't get it to play. I actually am still reproducing the system hang / freeze even without the other drivers running.
Any ideas?
I'll check out that other thread you mentioned.

You'll need to reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the npvr.log and nrecord.log so we can check it out.

This log is from when the black screen loads and no lock up.
Its also worth noting that if I hide and show the window, sometimes I see a screen shot of TV or the guide. Weird...

Everything generally looks ok when you attempt to start live tv, so I can only guess it's something to do with the decoders. Have you tried other decoders? The Microsoft decoders are usually ok, but try other ones.

Are you maybe using Win7 'Home Basic' or Win7 Starter? I think these had non-functional Microsoft decoders.

I am using Win 7 64 bit Enterprise.
I tried usingg the h.264 decoder. No joy there either. Ill try to play around with them again.
