Keyboard mapping?

Are the keyboard shortcuts hard-coded or is there a way to remap the keys for individual preference?

Also, when playing a recording with commercial skips, is there a way to skip ahead/skip back to the next/previous commercial break point or end of commercials point? I'm very used to using this in BeyondTV to quickly skip to the desired part of a show.

Check out KeyMappings.xml in the data directory (eg C:\Users\Public\NPVR if on Windows 7).

Is that just with autoskip on? It didn't seem to work when I tried it without the autoskip.

It doesn't work for me, either, using my remote and pressing 0 and then skip fwd/back. I do have autoskip on but hopefully that doesn't make a difference.

I can't seem to skip ahead in any chunk except for the default 30 seconds with my remote. I'm using a MCE IR remote with Eventghost.

The "0 + skip fwd" does not work to jump between commercial points, even with the keyboard.

Skip forward/back XX minutes works with the keyboard but not with the remote.

Any other suggestions?

I seem to remember that you have to map the remote number keys to the number keys above the letters and not the numerical keys in order to have it working.

yes, sorry, that doesn't work here either. I distinctly remember confidently telling someone that "0 + skip" wouldn't do anything, and whoever it was said it would skip between commercial break points... and I remember trying it and it worked. It doesn't seem like that goes all the way back to GB-PVR, as I've not used it in nearly 3 years, but it clearly doesn't work now. I dunno... memory is a funny thing.

And no problem, @johnsonx42, I'm turning 50 this year and my memory is going in the crapper LOL. I'll add it to feature requests.
