Changing channels

For my setup, I currently run GB-PVR as the front end software, use a MediaMVP to get the picture on my TV and a PVR 150MCE as my capture device. I have a Cox cable tv coax line running directly into the PVR 150MCE and it handles the channel changes for recording automatically.

I will be switching to a DirecTv system soon and it will have an external receiver. What kind of IR plaster thing do I need to handle the channel changes? Some versions of the PVR 150MCE come with the newer remote and IR blaster, but mine didn't so I need to buy one. Any suggestions?

The PVR150 comes with an IR Blaster, the PVR150MCE does not.

You could either buy a PVR150, which would get you another tuner and an IR Blaster, or you could buy a Actisys IR200L or USB-UIRT. I havn't personally tried it with DirecTV so cant be 100% sure, but in theory these should do the job.
