Hello,

After the time change NPVR records an hour off. This happened last year too, and I think I just cancelled and re-entered the recordings and it worked fine.

Are others having the same issue? If yes, is there a faster work around?

Thanks,

David

I haven't had a DST problem on NVPR for several years. NPVR does internal scheduling by GMT, and adjusts times for display in your time zone. As long as your windows time settings are correct (including both base time zone and DST start/end), and your EPG data has the correct times, you shouldn't be having any problems. Since you are, you'll want to check those things.

I've had the same problem two years in a row. Windows clock changed fine, all applications see the new time.... but pending recordings were all botched up. When new recordings entered the pending state after the clock change, they were fine. It happens for a few shows every year....I can deal with it. I am running the latest of NPVR and patches (at the time as well), and am on XP Pro 32.

just wondering why this is being mentioned now? the DST switch was two weeks ago. I'm not sure how sub could troubleshoot this now anyway?

Recurring recordings get rescheduled after an epg update so these should not have a problem if you do your update after the change, but one-off scheduled recording and (I believe) manual recording are based on the utc time when it is selected which will be wrong.

What I have noticed is that after the time change some recurring recordings around 19h00 EST moved from Monday to Tuesday and some from Tuesday to Wednesday ....
I redid the Recurring recording and things are fine since.

UTC doesn't change though, so one-off recordings from the EPG or one-off manual recordings should be ok.

I seem to remember the last problem we had related to manual recurring recordings, but I'm pretty sure that was fixed.

We'd really need some more concrete details about the type of recording they're having problems so we could check if there really was a problem.

The UTC doesn't change but the guide data might also have the wrong UTC for future shows if the DST correction in XMLTV is applied to the whole file.

Yep, that's true - if the guide data was wrong, it could have stuffed a one off recording.

Yes, sorry I brought this to your attention two weeks late.

I have verified the correct time zone (Central), as well as the time.

I don't know if this helps, but all of my recordings are "Man-Rec".

Windows 7 64bit OS
AMD Motherboard - 4 gigs Memory - 6 core AMD

At any rate, the recordings are easily fixed. However, the next time change is November 3rd, so it may be something you want to follow up with then.

Best Regards,
