I have done some urgently needed repairing and some performance improvements which may be of relevance to you.
The 0.68 version must have been a disapointment.
This could be much better but....
This version will only work when at least 1=black frame, 2=logo, 8=fuzzy logic, and 32=aspect ratio are enabled
It will NOT work with live_tv=1
You could enable scene change and closed captions. I did/can not test CC.

Main improvements: accuracy of cutting, robustness of logo detection and 25% faster

It can be downloaded here

If you are testing and you are having problems, set verbose to 10 and mail me the log file.

Do you have uniform coloured blue frames between show and commercials or between commercials?
If yes you could help me testing the alternative "black frame detection"

Is there an FAQ somewhere for this? I have some vids that I could run this on.

How do I install a newer version of comskip? Do I need to do a clean install of GBPVR? Do I need to uninstall the previous version of comskip or can I just install the new version right over it?

Can anyone explain what detection method means? I think i understand it, but to me it looks like there are 7 options numbered 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, and 255. I have my set at 255, but i see that some of you have yours set at 43--now i don't see 43 as an option, nor do i see 3 as an option (thinking maybe it's two options 4 & 3)...

You nearly got it right, the options are 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 and 64 (you had the last as 255)

When the detection method is set to 43 it means that it uses the numbers (methods) that add up to 43. So 43 is made of methods associated with 32, 8, 2 and 1 (add them together to get 43)

Setting the detection method to 255 means use all methods including the as yet unused / undefined method associated with method 128. This is put in for future compatability.

Thank you VERY MUCH!! If 128 is unused, is 64 used? If so, what does it stand for?
