I will attempt a record again...seems like the three nrecord log files I have at any time only cover a short time frame...will post the full zipped log and the tv listings XML as soon as I can grab one quickly enough!

I should clarify I always use the tvlistings guide rather than the default guide....

Have you updated TV Listings recently? You should try scheduling the recording with the default guide. I recall that there was a similar issue in the past that might have had something to do with TV Listings.

This must be a TV listings problem - Sub sorted it some time ago for the default guide.

The Program name is being shortened from 3 to 2 full stops (periods) the same as the default guide, but I expect TV listings doesn't take account that Windows removes all trailing periods from the folder name.
i.e. [Don't Be Tardy]
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives  Huh

I am running the latest version of TVListings - will attempt a record via the standard guide.

here is an attached nrecord log showing (near the end 14:59) the failed attempt most recently. I have another chance at 3:30 to try from standard guide. Looks like ParallelProcessing fails - as the file is not written at all. In my case there is just comskip in there.

He is a patch you can try. It'll trim these trailing characters at xmltv file import time, so if you've got a season recording you'll probably need to recreate it, since the new name of the show will be slightly different.

So just scheduled another episode via the standard guide - same thing...that log attached also. The xml tvguide is a bit bigger than zip limit....

Did you do an 'empty epg' followed by an 'update epg' before rescheduling it? You'd need to.

did not - not sure what you mean though - this was a separate episode that aired at a later time - and failed also. First log was the failure at 3pm est -canceled that recording once I verified it failed. Next log shows a later attempt at 3:30 est that failed just the same.

The patch he posted attempts to fix the issue when the xmltv file is read. If you didn't do the empty/update EPG, then it's reading from the database and not the xmltv file. Meaning that the attempted fix never got performed.
