Timing.Info question

How are writes to Timing.Info generated, a file from BrettB starts badly, with 13+ seconds of startup

Each time the writer handles data passed from the device, if it's more than 850ms since the last one written to timing.info, then it'll write another row. The only way you'd get a gap longer than about 900ms is if the device is not delivering any data during this time.
