In the past I only had a analogue tv-card and I got the epg-data from xmltv-file. When I got a digital card, I merged a number of channels and changed the epg-source to dvb for those channels that I wanted an epg for.

Since then, whenever I didn't reboot for some days, I ran out of epg-data. Just recently I saw that I had xmltv grab data after a reboot. It looks like nextpvr still uses epg data from xmltv although I configured nextpvr to grab the dvb epg data.
Manually grabbing the dvb epg data (through nextpvr) works fine though.

Perhaps deleting <LastXmltvFile>D:\Prive\GB-PVR\MC2XML\xmltv.xml</LastXmltvFile> in config would solve it??

No, don't do this. It wont help with your problem.

You'd need to right click the channels on Settings->Channels screen, and see what the EPG source is set to.

Do an 'update epg' and post the logs and I'll take a look.

Here are the logs. When doing a manual update Nextpvr does get the epg-data from the dvb source (I see "scanning frequencies) (and there was new data when the database was empty before).
But I think the problem is when the update is not done manually.

I'm sure that wont be the case. Both types of update run exactly the same code - one is triggered from a button, the other from a timer.

I cheched and can confirm that when I do a manual update, the dvb epg-data is used.
But when I disable the schedule of starting mc2xml at boot time, after a few days I've got only no "no show details" in my tvguide, until I do a manual epg-update from within NextPVR. Same when I don't reboot for a few days.
After the manual epg-update I've now got epg-data until Sunday 2.00 AM (local time). I have disable the execution at boot time of mc2xml. I'll report back Sunday if my epg-data is empty again.

There is a slight difference thou, manual update runs in your user account but the automatic one runs as Local System, maybe it is a matter of permission to read the epg/run the scraper?

Yes, that is a difference, but he's using the DVB epg, which should function fine for both.

I'm sure it's nothing to do with xmltv. I'm sure it'll be trying to get the DVB EPG. It might be failing to do that though - like you've got a recording at the time the DVB EPG update is due to happen
