TBS 6280 dual tuner, one tuner "Unable to start device: device failed to start"

One tuner one my TBS 6280 dual tuner card causes a "Unable to start device: device failed to start" error when I try to scan. Any hints on how to debug?

In my experience such messages has always been the first sign of a tuner saying goodbye.

I thought the TBS tuner cards have TBS Viewer too?
But I have not tried that software yet though.
