nDroid TE FileDownloader failed

I have just installed nDroid and nDroid TE.
App starts, saying "downloading files" in top left then error "CONN-CONNECT-FAIL-UNKNOWN" Have I missed something?

Yes, I followed the instructions and installed the service first.

When you first started the app did you make sure that you entered the correct IP address (and port) for your npvr server and the correct passwork for NEWA? also, did you allow ports 8790 and 8791 through your servers firewall?

That error suggests it can't even contact the server so I'm assuming it's failing for both? In that case the most likely reason is the server's firewall isn't allowing incoming connections on port 8790.

Thank you both for your help. The problem was the IP address and is now sorted and working.
