Can anyone point me to a forum/thread about XBMC on Linux Mint? I tried looking at a HowTo for XBMC on Ubuntu but it looked very complicated...

BTW: Reading the explanation for XBMC on Ubuntu I felt a bit like Captain Picard in "Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra"

Of course there are. You opted to not use a boot cd version with xbmc pre-installed so you need to research how.

Boot CD's typically allow booting from USB if you have a reasonably aged PC, and for me boot much faster than Windows. Both XBMC buntu and OpenElec install to HDD if you wish.

Forget that, it was an ageold Eden release I had. By having both eyes and arms wide open I managed to install the latest 12.2 Frodo
