new to x-newa and problems freezing no audio

I do see an issue when it tries to load the epg data do you have all those stations mapped? If so, can I get a copy of your npvr.db3 you might need to use a fie sharing site for one that large. First I'd like to see the nextpvr web.log files.

I see failures with the xbmc pvr interface too so somethng seems off with streaming. You might need

<AllowRemoteStreaming>true</AllowRemoteStreaming>

Yep, it's really strange.. Live tv works great from xbmc live tv channels.. but I just can't make x-newa to work at all. I am sure it something really dumb that I am missing.

Hmm, it loads here without the error I saw in your logs. Did you load the NEWA update http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...2013-03-25

Ok, I removed everything tonight and removed all entries in registry for nextpvr, newa, xbmc, WinTV.. rebooted started clean

installed WinTV drivers and WinTV software verified it was working ok
installed xbmc again verified all good
installed nextpvr verified Live TV working great. Since I put ver 2.6.2 on I did not install 1.3.4 newa as it said it came with it.
installed update patches to next pvr
I Installed suggest vlc pvr plugin
rebooted computer
went to client installed x newa and xbmc again
started xbmc went into x newa to settings. set all up with native and verified all settings once again
went to guide clicked on a channel that I wanted to watch
Black screen for about 10 seconds then video and audio came on for about 2 seconds and the screen froze.
waited about 3 min and the page reset to epg

I've tried everything to make x-newa work. can you see that I may of done anything wrong above?
ONce again from live tv with pvr client I can watch video and audio with no problems.

Can it be windows x64 windows related ? Processor related I have a Fx 6200 amd processor with a Asus MB with 16gig ram.

Would appreciate any insight that maybe offered on this issue....

In direct mode, I just pass the URL to XBMC and tell it to play. I do see the web request but in 3 seconds it didn't grow as fast as I'd expect which might explain why xbmc gives up.

If you send you xbmc.log and NextPVR logs files again I will have a look again, last time you had stopped the recording server too many times to see what is going on with the recording.

If the problem is xbmc giving up because of slow tuning then timeshifting might be the only choice.

I deleted all logs then restarted pvr and xbmc on client.

I ran two attempts to view from client side using x-newa - first one in direct mode. Result Black screen for about 15 seconds
and then video and audio for about 2 seconds then everything locked up. I clicked on the stop button and waited about 2 min for the epg to return.

then

I changed type to vlc... went back to watch channel 104 in x-newa I got video and no audio. I checked the audio settings in player and it said that audio stream isn't present.

I then stopped everything and zipped up my logs, here they are.

Also, I should note in an earlier post you sent me to the vlc plug in screen, I completed the instructions on that page and have yet to see any transcoding settings that
can be set via the manage recordings tab inside newa. Where exactly should those settings be? One last thing can you elaborate what I need to do to make time shift work?

You said share folder? which one?

Thanks I had a quick look but the logs seem to show that it just doesn't grow fast enough. Does that same channel play in NextPVR? I don't see that the tuner is a source

If you are using an ir blaster that might be too fast for sub's web server logic that x-newa calls.

UJB, kinda hide the vlc options. From NEWA, first you have to have a recording for the Manage Recordings screen then hit the Play button on the recording and at the top left there are transcoding and playback options.

If you set up your NextPVR LiveTV folder as a Windows SMB share then in timeshifting mode NEWA will tell XNEWA to use file playback and not http.

The same channel will play in next pvr with audio and video from the client side.

All the configs are the same - same svideo on card as channel tuner changes

are handled from an outside satellite box.

I do not have any of the channel changing stuff inserted right now, so all it should be doing
is encoding the video and audio from the svideo port and analog audio port.

anything else to try?

can you port me to a good wiki on how to update x-newa for timeshifting and I will try that or maybe as to why vlc would not have any audio.
