These are packs of Logos for UK Freeview and Freesat and have been updated as of the 22nd March 2016.

They are available for download on the Wiki.

http://nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?n=Me...annelLogos

I have included most of the religious, ethnic, etc. channels and BBC Red Button logos. There is a Plain Brown Envelope generic Adult logo Big Grin
There is a list of the channels in the TV & Radio archives.

They are in 16:9 format 360x200 for both TV and Radio, highly optimized png format.
If required for a particular application I could batch any size up to 1000 x 562

There is also a Separate Pack of Local TV Channels available, it contains 31 Stage 1 & 2 Local Channels.

If there are any channels missing that I have not noticed or any you would like me to add (non Freesat free to air?) just list them in this thread and I may oblige.

Just curious...why different sizes for TV and Radio?

I use the Radio icons is the Web Radio Plugin where only 1 large icon is displayed - the 256 icons were a bit fuzzy on a 1080p 50" plasma - also I think that 350x197 could have been the size in your DVB-T Radio plugin for GBPVR.

256 seems fine for the epg icons where there is a column of them. If you think they need to be bigger let me know and I will increase the size - sometime in the future - or when I get my 4K TV Big Grin

As I said, I was just curious and for the life of me I can't remember what size I used for DVB-T Radio (it was a while ago after all Wink ).

I don't particularly have a size preference although if you could do several different sizes as nine-patch PNGs that would be useful. Big Grin OK, only joking about that - I'll get around to doing it myself one day.

Cheers,
Brian

I haven't got my head around these 9 slice png's yet - seem a bit anderoidy.

What I have started doing though is start afresh making 1000 x 562 png's using svg's where I can find them on line - I can then batch resize to any size required. Got as far as Viva in the freeview epg - but it will take several weeks to get the whole lot.

Any batch 9 slice windows apps available?

Well yes, if you Google for nine patch or 9 patch the results generally refer to Android (although it also seems to be a term used in patchwork quilt making Big Grin ).

I don't know of anything that handles batch resizing - there's a manual 9 patch editor bundled with the Android SDK tools and also a couple of opensource ones.

The concept (as far as I can tell) is just an exploitation of aspects of the PNG format and involves adding pixels (or lines of pixels) to indicate where an image should be anchored and where it can be stretched. In a normal image viewer those lines and extra pixels would look like they shouldn't be there but if named with a .9.png extension, Android does some auto-magic re-sizing without distorting the image.

To be honest I spend so much time dealing with the data, lists, general views, networking sides of programming I haven't really spent much time on the logo graphics. I'll have a play with a couple of your logos in the Android SDK 9-patch editor and see what happens.

Cheers,
Brian

I am in the process of re-doing the Logos for Freeview and Freesat.

Does anyone have a requirement for the Shopping Channel Logos or others, Adult etc. - Don't worry I will accept the excuse that it is only because your other half watches them Wink Wink Big Grin

I have done the ethnic and religious ones so can't be accused of prejudice any more.

Also any additional channels that are not on the Freesat lineup but can be received would be useful as I don't have a DVB-S Tuner at the moment.

I am going to do the TV Logos at 256 x 144 and Radio at 384 x 216 (mod 8 sizing) unless someone has a better idea - all are at 1000 x 562 at present.
