Both cards are in the server. i am not using any virus scanner at all. I have just completed a fresh install and have only updated windows and installed nextpvr and arcsoft. I am using arcsoft to watch tv right now the composite connections are working fine.

It's a pci-ex card. It can be explained if the video or audio source is wrong. Also some stb's have no signal for 3 or more seconds while they tune.

You need to verify the configuration in NextPVR as Zeb explained in your logs there was an issue earlier. Upload your npvr.db3 and I can check it. Also it is not clear what inputs you are want to use Based on your posts, composite (ie the two lead SD) from the back with SPDIF is what I think you want. but spell it out for me.

At first I presumed that "composite" was a typo and that you meant to write "component," but if you also confused these terms in Settings/Devices then this is very likely the main problem. (Component video is suitable for HD, composite is not.) After confirming that "component" is selected as input source, select all channels using mouse, right-click and "update to current settings," then click "OK." I would then exit NPVR and restart NPVR Service (or maybe even reboot) before trying to tune channels.

Quote:I have just completed a fresh install

Did you also delete C:\Users\Public\NPVR? This doesn't occur automatically so that you can update without having to redo your settings and channels, but in your case that was probably where the problem was. The .db3 is usually too large to attach to a post even zipped, and if you just started with a clean one then there might not be any point. Users sometimes upload it elsewhere and post a link to the file.

Not much point in further discussing decoders until NRecord log shows something other than "Device reports resolution: 0x0 (fps:0) (aspect:0) (progressive:0) (videoIdCode:0)."

Hi Martin, in this case I think NRecord is effectively saying "no signal from input 2," which I presume is composite. Having reviewed logs in older Colossus threads, component is clearly "input 0." (I'm sure you could've told me that if I had just asked.) OP did once get a 720p signal on input 3 (HDMI).

Of course your suggestion might prove necessary once composite/component confusion is cleared up. Here's another thread that touched on that: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...esolution&

Some of this discussion is over my head, however, I have Colossus working using Component and SPDIF. To get a pic from Colossus, you MUST have an H.264 decoder. If you are using SPDIF audio, you must have an AC3 decoder. I use the "Arcsoft Video Decoder" and the "Haupage AC3 Decoder" respectively. These are installed by the Colossus software install. If you have no H.264 decoder with Colossus, you get nothing.
