Try the attached binary. I've added a message to the log for nearly every line.

You're better of posting a new message, otherwise it wont show as a new post and I probably wont see it.
Yeah I had a "blonde" moment, I guess...
Anyway, here is the log Code: 23:12:04.687 INFO Log started To be sure UNC vs mapped drive wasn't screwing it up, I trashed all the GBPVR directory, did a fresh install, and used local drives for everything. Using the default skin, etc... Here is the GBPVR log itself Code: 07/19/05 11:12:04 PM.546 INFO [41] playFile()

And here is the log WITH FFDshow:
Code: 23:16:36.781 INFO Log started and gbpvr log Code: 07/19/05 11:16:36 PM.640 INFO [44] playFile()

Do you have the Hauppauge MVP software installed on your machine? If so, which version?

Yes I do. I downloaded it from their website recently.
Version is 2.4.23055 according to the ReleaseNotes.txt that's in my hauppauge folder

Thats a very very strange place to be encountering a problem. I cant see any potential problem on this particular line of code, but try the attachment which checks a couple of things before executing this line.

Code: 00:01:42.187 INFO Log started Code: 07/20/05 12:01:41 AM.796 INFO [51] playFile() Should I post a screen of my codec list ?

Can you download and run GraphEdit from www.devnz.com/downloads/graphedit.zip. Select 'Insert Filter' from the menu. Expand the 'DirectShow Filters' category. Scroll down to, and select, the "MainConcept (Haupauge) MPEG Encoder". Click insert filter. Enter test.mpg in the filename box that pops up. Close the Insert Filter window. From the file menu, select 'Render media file'. Browse to and select the AVI media file you're trying to play.
This will generate a picture of how some of the filters connect on your machine. Please take a screenshot, and post it here. |
