The link doesn't work, but I found Graphedit elsewhere

I don't see that filter in the list, here's what I have in there:

OK, we'll that would be a significant factor in your setup not being able to play AVI files. This filter was installed on my machine when I installed the Hauppauge MVP software.

Try uninstalling the Hauppauge MVP software and reinstalling the newest version from ftp://ftp.shspvr.com/download/mediamvp/m....23196.exe and let me know if this installs the filter for you.

You read the post between me clicking the post button, and fixing the link about 10 seconds later...

The graph is http://kragone.free.fr/filtergraph.gif

Goes a little further, I see some images before it crashes

Do you mean you see some of the video? If so, how long?

What exactly happens? Do you get an error on the screen or similar?

Crash: http://kragone.free.fr/CrashPic.gif

I now sometimes get those randomy in the middle of the play, sometimes the play gets interrupted, sometimes it doesn

Edit: the video has been playing for a while now, several minutes, with only a couple of the crashes above at the beginning... The audio is out of sync, but I don't think that's the same problem

And after 2 minutes, the playback just stops, returns me to the Video Library screen, the log is:
Code:

If you disable the ffdshow settings on the playback tab of the config app (both), do you still get this crash?

How big is the AVI you're trying to watch?

Both FFDshow checkboxes are disabled in the playback tab
The AVI is 689Mb

EDIT: trying with another AVI, and I get a hard reboot as soon as I try to play:
Code:
03:17:43.281 INFO Log started 03:17:43.281 INFO TRANSCODING: \\ROQUEFORT\MEDIA\VIDEO\AntZ.avi 03:17:43.281 INFO TARGET: C:\MVP000DFE0078C7.mpg 03:17:43.281 INFO ... 03:17:43.281 INFO T1 03:17:43.296 INFO T2. 03:17:43.312 INFO T3 03:17:43.312 INFO T4 03:17:43.312 INFO T4.1 03:17:43.312 INFO T4.2 03:17:43.312 INFO T5 03:17:43.312 INFO T6 03:17:43.312 VERBOSE AVI file type. 03:17:43.312 VERBOSE About to check for Async Reader 03:17:43.328 VERBOSE ...found, about to query for IFileSourceFilter interface 03:17:43.343 VERBOSE About to render graph 03:17:43.343 VERBOSE Rendering pin
Log ends there, and the MVP interface restarts

hmm, your log files above indicate ffdshow is still being used:

03:02:41.359 INFO - ffdshow MPEG-4 Video Decoder

Can you go into the actual ffdshow settings and disable it.
