Thrilled to see the EPG based timeshift feature, love having the buffer recorded!

Unfortunately, it causes XBMC to crash when I hit record while watching live tv. Have to resort to ctrl-alt-del to kill XBMC. Does the XBMC addon need to be updated?

Logs attached.

Unfortunately sub extended EPG Mode only to PC and NMT clients so you are seeing another issue.

Ah, you're right.. I always get this same error when trying to record while watching live TV (Regardless of the timeshift setting).

Is this behavior not supported in the XBMC addon?

My experience is that it will hang on my HDPVR, I think the client acts like it can multi-rec the stream.

Pressing 'record' while watching live tv works fine with digital tuners in XBMC. It'll schedule a recording for the currently air show. As Martin said, it does using the new EPG based timeshift when using XBMC, so it's still using the old scheme.

I'm not sure what happens with analog or HDPVR devices, since you can only do one recording at a time with these types of tuners. If it were in NextPVR (with epg based timeshift disabled), you'd find your live tv session would exit, and the recording would start. I'm not sure what exactly happens in XBMC in this scenario.
