Shared.dll working with 3.1.1?

further information.... I had a couple of old laptops lying around, so installed xbmc on them.... they have no issue playing/changing channels....
Back to my main rig, which has nextpvr server on it, I uninstalled xbmc completely, reinstalled... no difference... doesn't seem to like running on the same machine!? Always has done!

ERM - OK, So after careful comparison, the only difference between the two brand new setups was that on the main rig my IP address in the NextPVR client was set to 127.0.0.1 on the other clients, I obviously had to change this to the server's IP (192.168.0.2) - hummmm, surely that would make no difference.... OH, apparently I was wrong.... changing the 127.0.0.1 to 192.168.0.2 on the main rig has completely solved the channel changing problem....

Now, could someone with more knowledge than me PLEASE explain how on earth that has made a difference!!!??! I work as a network engineer, but that's got me stumped!!!!! Don't even know why I bothered trying it really - but glad I did!.... perhaps that info might prove useful to someone else.

That is odd. I'm glad you got it working. I'm not sure why that would be any different though.
