I can't seem to get the recurring option to work when recording. If I select one time only then it works. I had it set up to record before but cancelled it so I could change the end time padding since the show likes to go over it's time slot. Anyway it doesn't seem to work any more. I tried with some other series, some work and others do not. It doesn't matter if I use the web interface or the desktop app. I looked for some log files but didn't see any so I must not have looked in the right place.

I have the same problem. It seemed to just start tonight. I already had several records scheduled but for some reason the ones I try to record tonight are not working. They show up in the "Recurring Recordings" list but not in the pending recordings. I have attached my logs.

@dartis it seems the shows you want are marked repeats and your rules is only new.

I chose the option to record all new episodes. Since I had not recorded any shows of this title, I figured that everything would be a "new" recording and that any future repeats of already-recorded titles would be skipped.

For instance... I had no recordings of "Nova". Since PBS airs the same show multiple times, I only want to record the ones that are not recorded yet.

Is that not the correct way to do it?

Ok, so I just saw the "avoid duplicates" checkbox in the settings. So I have set to record "All" episodes on this channel and it looks to be working.

@cain - see sticky post at the top of the support forum, also linked in my signature. among many other things, that will tell you where to find logs and how to post them. I suspect though your problem was the same as dartis's, you were misunderstanding the meaning of "New".

I too mis-understood what new is. I unchecked that and I'm good to go. Thanks.
