Found some time to try out the advice and here is the result.

Executed steps:
Updated NextPVR Samsung app to version 0.126
TV Power OFF
Stopped NextPVR & recording service.
Cleared all NPVR logs (delete).
Copied NextPVR PIN code from config.master tot config.xml
Restarted NPVR Recording service.
Started NextPVR
TV Power ON
Launched NextPVR Samsung app in debug mode (TXT button).
Waited till app hangs. Now with message "Loading current programs".
Quited app.
Quit Nextpvr.
Stopped NPVR recording service.
Zipped logs into RAR file (logs.rar attached).

Looking at the web.log file I've got the impression that loading of channels and listings is not completed together with a message "...snip..".
At that point "Got Web request" is listed in the log report. This gives me the impression loading gets interrupted. Why?

Tried the same as above but this time without enabling debug on the Samsung app (logs_no debug.rar attached).
Same result, app stops at message "Loading current programs".

How long does it take before all channels & program listings are loaded by the app?
I've waited a couple of minutes before stopping the app.

Do I have to many channels & program listings in my setup (+/- 35ch & 14 days EPG)?

I hope the NextPVR logs can help in finding the problem.

thats not a huge amount of channels. could you take note of the last url it gets stuck on and try and type that into the browser manually? (yeah I know its a little hard, wont be able to look at this in the next 24 hours probably, and this would help).

also you could try doing a clear/update epg.

Hi reven,

finally got some progress in getting the app to start working.
I've emptied the NPVR EPG and the app starts normally.
Without quiting the app I reload the NPVR EPG and the app can access the TV program listings.
I quit the app, restart it and the app hangs again showing message "Loading current programs".

This is what I see in the background in the debug window:

This message is circling around all the time.

I think I had 2 problems getting the app to work. First problem was that I didn't have the NextPVR XBMC settings enabled and when I've enabled it I cleared the PIN = 0000.
As Martin mentioned there might be a bug in NPVR 3.1.1 with updating the pin via NextPVR settings I suppose in the beginning the app got stuck with the message "Wait for plugin to load" because the XMBC client couldn't connect (wrong PIN?). After copying the PIN from NPVR config.master to config.xml starting the app returned another message "Loading current programs". This a probably a problem loading EPG data.

My EPG is build from 3 sources. Analoge and a part of DVBC EPG is taken via XML grabbing but there is another part of DVBC which is taken via airlive channel EPG grabbing as for certain channels I can not get the EPG via XML grabbing. I've attached the EPG's which are grabbed via XML.

I'll see if I can do some diagnostics during the weekend by enabling / disabling the XML or Airlive EPG grabbing to find out which EPG part can not be loaded.
If you find some time to have a look or test the attached EPG XML part it would be welcome.

You should see the full request in the web.log in the nextpvr logging directory, if you type that into the browser and save the output and upload here, I could mimic the request and see why its failing to load that.

I'm not sure if I'm doing things correcty but looking at the web.log I've tried the following web request on the local machine where NPVR is installed.
