Unable to delete video file if play before

Does anyone else get this problem with the default videos plugin?

1. Play video file.
2. Stop video file.
3. Delete video file.

Result: Video file is not deleted. No error messages seen in the UI or in the logs.

Note: If skip steps 1-2 the file is deleted successfully.

I'v seen a few problems deleting recordings, but haven't investigated. It does not always fail to delete the recording after playing it here, but sometimes. Unsure if that is the same bug, but very possible.

Nope, that's all fine for me. We often watch then delete and I've not noticed any problems.

After some more investigation I've found that it was nothing to do with playing a video file, it was because the files were marked as read-only!

Sub - is there anything that could be done in NextPVR to be a little friendlier in this situation? Perhaps ignore the read-only flag or at the very least show informative error message?

I've added logic to show any operating system error message when attempting to delete a file in the library screens.

I'm confused, since your note in post #1 said you could delete them if they weren't played.
