3.1.1 database locked

Did a clean installation of NPVR 3.1.1.

Imported old recording list. It worked fine at first. But after adding some manual recurring recordings and deleted some old ones, keep on getting "database is locked" errors and NPVR will stop responding and crashed.

Delete corrupted database and start again. "Database is locked" errors come back again after adding some manual recurring recordings and deleted some old ones.

And the cycle continues... Messing too much with manual recurring recordings (adding or deleting them) will crash NPVR 3.1.1, at least for me.

I never have such problems with the NPVR 2.6.2 or older no matter how I mess with it. Anyway, have went back to 2.6.2.

Not reporting anything as I don't have the logs. Just sharing my experience.

Can you reboot, then reproduce the problem, then zip and attach your logs directory?

My main rig which has more tv tuners and a larger recurring list is more prone to locked database errors. It is a clean install, not an upgrade. But I don't have the logs as I have reverted back to 2.6.2.

Below is the logs of my test rig with fewer tuners and without the imported recording list. It is a clean install too. Feels that it is less prone to errors but still managed to get the locked database errors after several rounds of adding and removing manual recurring recordings.

To be honest, I'm not really sure what to suggest on this one.

Is it always manual recurring recordings that cause it? I've had a quick try but couldn't reproduce it.

I've not seen any other reports of this, but very few people use manual recurring recordings. Just about everyone does EPG based recordings.

fwiw I also tried to break this by creating and deleting a bunch of manual recurring recordings, to no avail. I actually do have a handful manual recordings in regular use, as "All Episodes, All Channels" epg recordings are really just manual recordings with a database matcher.

Hi Just upgraded to 3.1.1 and have experienced the 'Database Locked' issue.

I have rebuilt the database twice and it has locked twice.

It appears to coincide with my using the NEWA web interface. I have rebuilt for a third time now (in 24 hours) and will avoid NEWA for a while to see if it locks for some other reason...

I have the same problem.

But... I was fine until I tried to fix the null.ts issue by upgrading the nshared.dll file.

When I tried to do that I tried to stop the services and failed, waited for about 10 mins and no change so I killed the exe processes using task manager. I now regret that choice
