3.1.1 database locked

Ignore me - I might have just got lucky.
Noticed a message saying that nrecord was locking the database, so I killed that service manually, then used the stop services prog. Started again and we seem to be back!

Can you stop nextpvr, delete the contents of the log directory, reboot, reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs again?

These are virgin logs - right after the reboot, but before I even ran the gui.

I must say - looks like the reboot might have solved the problem for me - after I took this zip, I went in and scheduled a few recordings and they seem to have added fine...

Thanks - but the logs would only have helped if we got the lock again. In this case it looks like you haven't had the problem.

For my own sake I hope I'm not able to contribute - but if it happens again I will do the same and hopefully get something worthwhile!

I just did a clean install of 3-1-1 (had 2.6.x before) and scanned channels, when done and saving I got the database locked problem as in post 2. After reading this thread I assume it's related to the fact that I was installing and running x-newa (webgui) at the same time !?

You need to provide logs.

oh, but are you using newa ? Too much work to do right now to debug this, first I have to try get a working system after clean install.

When I exit x-newa/web client the error was gone, so I assued there was an issue there as mentioned previously in this thread.

You can't do an update with any open NextPVR apps or nDroid running. x--newa running with 2.6 wouldn't do anything but an XMBC PVR instance might. Chameleon runs in 3.1.1 only but the web clients does start an instance of NextPVR that would need to be stopped.
