Hello

My ISP insists on putting my STB to sleep after 3-4 hours, with no way to disable it.

Would it be possible to periodically send the escape button or something via either my hauppauge IR blaster, or one of the dedicated ones?

Basically just need a null key press, and for NPVR to be aware of the fact that every X hours, the STB will go to sleep, so if it's been more than X, and less than Y until the next scheduled keypress (for next recording, whatever) then it should send a null key press.

Or have functionality to bring it out of sleep (need to hit OKAY) if it's been more than 3 hours since a channel was last tuned.

To be honest, for hacks like this, I think it's better to roll your own solution outside of NextPVR.

Yeah I agree but thought I would ask. Thanks for your time.

You might get lucky by using google and the model of your STB. Sometimes there are undocumented "features" that can be changed if you know the magic key-press sequence. Smile
