Hello,

i´m using a pvr 150 mce with an athlon xp 2200 processor, asus 128MB VT9520 video card, 512MB RAM and 80GB Samsung SV0802N HD, XP prof.

With WINTV all is going very well even the time shift mode.

But i want to use gbpvr. Here have the problem that every time if the program has a access to the HD the picture stops for a very short time. The problem occures in the following situations:

1. Live TV - while the mini guide is on the screen
2. Watching a video - same as 1.
3. Always while time shift mode

How can I solve this problem?

I am having a similar problem.
I get hiccups while watching livetv if I start to change channels.
It also corresponds to HD access.

Try setting "encoder pass thru" in the config app. Worked for me. I had the same problem for months

Thanx for your fast reply. Unfortunately this setting doesn´t helps me.

I want to correct my first mail. In case of watching Live TV the effect occures without an access on the HD while displaying the Guide.

I think my hardware performance is OK. Isn´t it?

If your recording drive, is the same as the operating system drive (windows), then any time windows (or any other program, service, or task) uses the drive, the recording will hiccup.
The only method to completely fix this, is to get a second hard drive, only for recordings.
You can try turning OFF your anti-virus on the recordings folder, but this doesn't always help.
You can never have enough tuners!

I´m using the inter video decoder.

Is the only way to get all OK a second hard drive?

I doubt it. Both of my machines only have a single drive and I dont have any problems.

I suspect you've either got rogue directshow codecs installed on your machine that are causing these problems, or you machine's hard drive needs defragmenting, or the hard drive performances is very poor (PIO vs UDMA etc).
