Can’t get My Music play lists to load

I just set up my first PVR and managed to solve all my problems thanks to the great info on the forum. Unfortunately I can’t seem to get this one figured out. I see the play list and when I select it and push load I go to the play list screen but nothing loads. I’ve tried several different formats of lists but none will load. Also when I push the red button on the remote it won’t create a list.

Any ideas on this?

err what type of files are you trying to play? can you get these files to work in the builtin "Music Library"? what type of playlists are they? do they have relative paths or absolute paths to the files? post the log aswell (devnz/gbpvr/gbpvr.exe.log) it might show something useful.

Thanks for the plugin and thanks for the help.
First off I was wrong about the red button not creating a play list. It did and it works fine. I’m trying to play mp3 files. The play lists are stored locally and the music is stored on another pc. I made up a small play list in itunes and exported it to my play list folder. It’s an XML. My Music sees it but won’t load it. I ran the play list through a conversion program that changes it a M3U play list . My music sees the list but won’t load. I opened the M3U My music created and the M3U the conversion program created and they’re nothing alike. I’m sorry but I don’t know how to answer “do they have relative paths or absolute paths to the files?” Maybe I did but I’m not sure.

relative paths are like
..\metallica\master of puppets\master of puppets.mp3
and absolute paths are like
D:\my music\metallica\master of puppets\master of puppets.mp3

post the m3u and itunes playlist, and err i meant to tell you that you have to load gbpvr try and load the playlist (so the log file logs that action) and then exit gbpvr and post that log file, everytime you load gbpvr a new log file is created (ie the log one is deleted, well its renamed a couple of times i think then deleted).

Thanks again for the help
The log that I posted is: start GBPVR selected My Music, loaded the XML play list then I’m not sure what I did, I think I just exited GBPVR when it didn‘t load. I also noticed my play lists that I delete don’t get deleted until I restart the program. This goes for play lists that I create as well. Another thing when I load a play list that I created all I can do is play it from the beginning. I can stop the play and I can toggle through the selections but when I push play nothing happens.
I’ll try and post the play list as an attachment but I’m not sure if it will accept it.

just attach it as a zip, to jump to an item in the current playlist i think you push the "ok" button (i never use "my music" so i cant remember what the keys are exactly ).

and yeah if you delete a playlists outside of gbpvr and go to "playlists" in my music it will still be shown (until the directory is refreshed, via a new playlist being saved or something).

If I hit the OK button nothing happens. I'm deleting the playlists through My Music and they don't get deleted until I restart GBPVR. Also my new playlists that I create through My music don't show up until I restart GBPVR.
I've screwed somthing up in the install or I have somthing configured wrong because nothing works like it should.

I'll attatch the playlist as a zip (duh)

the delete thingy is just a bug, the current version of my music, is probably the oldest one of my plugins out there, and its before i learnt about a file system watcher that will automatically refresh the file list when a file changes in that dir. so the next update (not sure when this will be) will be able to cope with this.
