I need some help on the proper method of rebuilding the NPVR db.

I removed the old one, (saved it just in caseSmile, then restarted the system.
I then IMPORTed the "recordings" and "recurring" XML files.

However, it doesn't appear as though any of my channels are there any longer.
Can't open the TV Listings menu.

How do I get them back?

What should I have done differently?

As always, THANX for the help!

Since you're starting from scratch (having deleted your database), then you'd need to setup your devices/channels, before importing your recordings.

You can either manually setup them up again, or use the 'Import Channels' button on the Settings->Devices screen to use channels you exported from an old setup.

Do I need to export channels on all 4 devices, even though the channels are the same?

It's been ages since I last used this feature - I'm not sure. Assuming all the devices are the same type, with access to the same channels, then you can probably import the same file for multiple devices.

It looks like I am able to recover my channels, but my GROUP is missing. (and it's rather large)
I didn't see any way to export my GROUP settings?

Sorry to be a pain, but I'm just trying to establish the proper method for recovering a corrupt db.

If I'm going about it the wrong way, please advise.

THANX!

Sorry no, there is nothing for channel groups.

Is there another method I could use to recover a corrupt DB?

I thought I read something about an SQL procedure?

If it happened to me, I'd probably just manually setup my channels again, then reimport my recordings. Thankfully corrupt databases have been a rarity over the years. We've only have a few occurrences.

No one has ever asked about reimporting channel groups before, so it's not a feature that has been included. I'll try to add export/import function for this data in the next release.

You can probably do something with SQL to extract the old data, and reinsert it in the new db, but this is outside of what I can help you with.
