After I upgraded to 3.1.1, I tried accessing the NEWA and it says it can't be found. I tried using the localhost and teh Actual Ip Address (locally and remotly) still could not be found. I finally looked at the log and it says "Unexpected error starting web server:..."(full logs attached)

I've tried everything to fix this, rebooting, installing the latest NEWA, uninstalling NPVR then re-installing it adding patches and installing the the latest NEWA, and even uninstalling .NET 4 and re-installing it.

I Uninstalled again and went back to 2.6.2 and NEWA works fine, I even tried again upgrading to 3.1.1 (making sure the service was stopped before I upgraded) NEWA couldn't be found. Added patches and installed the the latest NEWA again and still did not work.

Is there anyway to fix this?

More than likely the install of NEWA went bad during the NPVR upgrade process....it happens occasionally.

1st line of defense is to load the most recent copy from the wiki following the instructions.

http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?....NEWA#toc3

Let me know if this works.

I'm having no luck either. Just installed 3.1+ from scratch in a PC rebuild. NPVR is (finally) working fine again, except for the web interface. I just did the devbuild download, reinstall, as instructions suggest. Log presents this each time I try to view TvGuide, which is completely blank. TvGuide looks fine in NPVR. Also, I can search for recordings and they show up.

Try this command line:

npvr.exe -emptyepg

then reload your epg

I've installed the NEWA from the Wiki (flowing the delete Instructions) multiple times and it never fixed it.

Do you have a web.log file you can post?

The wording left a bit open to interpretation, but yes, I emptied the EPG from NPVR->Settings, Exited (just for good measure), restarted recording service (just for good measure), and forced EPG Update and all is well.

Which brings me to another issue. I've had this issue before, and still. In the event there's back to backs, 'The Following' and 'The Following' and I pick one to record, the Web UI gets all confused. Have you noticed this? Doesn't give one a warm comfy feeling when I want to be sure the recorder is picking the right one.

Great.

What specifically does "confused mean"?
Is this on a specific page... i.e. guide2.aspx, manage2.aspx, etc?
Can you post a screen shot?

Ok, take that back as well now. Seems also fixed. Had suffered through that with V2.6 for many months, just tried it again as best I could and could not recreate it. Changes looks great.

Have to donate to this site. I've got too much use out of it for several years now. You guys do great work.

Was thinking of trying to migrate recording to my NAS, but without NPVR, just don't see a lot of upside.

Sorry for the long delay but I started trying some other PVR's but im back. Still having the same problem as before. NEWA works perfectly fine on 2.6.2 but when I upgrade to a newer version of NPVR (this time 3.3.8) NEWA no longer works even after a fresh install from the wiki.

So i was going to upload the web.log file but it looked like it just had the successful login from 2.6.2 so i deleted it, thinking that if i restarted the service it would create a new one but it didn't.So i went back to 2.6.2 checked and NEWA worked. Upgraded to 3.3.8, NEWA stopped working and no new web log was created. Updated NEWA form the wiki, NEWA still doesn't work and no new log created.

To me this seems like NEWA is failing to start hence no new log is created. Keep in mind that even though NEWA no longer works NPVR seems to working fine. I originally tried and a do a fresh install of 3.3.8 but I can't Bulk map my EPG so i needed to start at 2.6.2 to bulk map. Posted for this as well on the forum.
