Getting to settings when start in Full Screen selected.

This may be a stupid question but in GBPVR I used to have an Icon top right of the menu screen that when clicked with the mouse exited the screen. This would then allow me to run the config programme.

In NPVR when I set it to start full screen, there seems to be no easy way to exit back to the desktop. If I ALT-Enter that reduces NPVR to a window but right clicking top left of the window just brings up the change screen or exit....there's no "settings" option.

How do you get to the settings screen when you've set NPVR to start full screen without directly editing the config file to turn full screen start off?

Do you have the option Context Menu on Right Button ticked on the main setting screen?

I set the mouse right click to escape rather than popup the context menu as that's the way the wife was used to it in GBPVR. It seems that if you've done that and selected full screen start, there's no way to get back to the settings menu without directly editing the config file.

On my journey to discover NPVR, I've also noticed that when you're in video playback mode, you don't have any mouse control like I used to see in GBPVR (pop-up menu with FF Play/Pause RW etc)..... was that implemented in NPVR?

In window mode, you can click on the icon in the top/left of the window, and 'Settings' is one of the options in the list.

No, this isn't in NextPVR.

Thanks sub....that's the challenge......when you switch to Windowed mode from a full screen start [Alt+Enter]......when you right click the Icon there's no settings listed.....:confused:

in fact there's no icon in the upper left corner at all... just "nPVR". what you're getting in that case is the standard windows right-click menu for the title bar, not the app-specific right-click menu.

What if you create another icon with the command line

NextPVR.exe -settings

As for me, Thanks a ton Martin that works perfectly & one will be added to my server in the very very near future.... no more having to fight the crappy low spec video card to get to the setting for me
